Tune PID loops like a pro
Cambridge UK , April 9 th 2008
Following positive feedback on their first APC courses last year, Aptitude Ltd are pleased to announce their program for 2008, beginning in May with “Tune PID Loops Like A Pro”. Since last year the course has been expanded to include new elements and additional real-world case studies.
Regulatory control forms the basis of process control systems and a good understanding is essential if processes are to be optimised safely. Building on the feedback received after last year's training courses, Aptitude have expanded their Process Regulatory Control Fundamentals course into three days with more worked examples, case studies and question-and-answer time.
Course trainer Doug Nicholson comments: “ We received a lot of positive feedback last year, particularly because of the practical side of the course. It's all very well to do things on paper, but unless you know how to apply it properly in the real world, that knowledge is useless. Our course is designed with just this in mind, and after three days our delegates will go away with up-to-date knowledge that they can start using the moment they get back to work” .
The three-day course ‘Tune PID Loops Like A Pro' is aimed at process and control engineers who are new to the topic, or experienced personnel who want to refresh and update their knowledge about new methods and techniques. It concentrates on process regulatory control fundamentals which form the basis of all refinery and chemical plant control systems. It will review process control basics and build on this foundation by demonstrating practical design and implementation steps. Worked examples and case studies are used to solve real-world scenarios.
‘Tune PID Loops Like a Pro' will take place in Cambridge between 6-8 th May 2008. Places can be booked online at www.aptitudegroup.com/training or by contacting email@example.com
